OVERVIEW
ROLE
In my first-year graphic design class at university, I crafted a zine on the opioid crisis using a risograph, combining a primary color with black and white. It featured my original illustrations and designs, marking my first experience with risograph printing.

The Ideation
The opioid crisis was the topic I chose for my project's brainstorming process because it was interesting to me and had a lot of social significance. With the use of visual storytelling, I want to educate and connect with readers while bringing attention to an important topic.
I started by doing extensive research, getting a thorough grasp of the scope of the opioid issue, and compiling information that might be shown visually. I proceeded by using Adobe Illustrator to sketch concepts and create illustrations after gaining a firm understanding of the subject. My goal was to create images that were visually captivating and effectively communicated the message. A creative challenge emerged from the project's unique demand to use only one primary color in addition to black & white. In order to draw attention to the black and white interior and give it depth, I chose a yellow color. The risograph was an experience in itself. The zine's unusual printing technique enhanced the visual experience by giving it a unique feel and touch.
